Branch Meetings

We have agreed to continue to hold our meetings at the Cleveland Police Federation offices at Ashfield House, 46 Yarm Road, Stockton on Tees starting at 1.30pm and have been arranged for Thursday 8^th March, 17^th May, 20^th September and 15^th November 2012. As ever these meeting are open for all members to attend and it’s nice to see those of you who are able to make it, we do appreciate that many, if not most of you, continue to work once you have retired so it is somewhat difficult.

Directions to the offices are as follows: -

From Hartburn Traffic Lights travel north along Yarm Road to the Catholic Church. Immediately past the church turn left into Spring Street. The offices are the first building on your right. Turn right into the car park. For those travelling south from Yarm Lane, pass the Police Hostel and turn right before the Catholic Church into Spring Street.

Social Events

The Christmas Social for 2011 will take place on Monday 12^th December 2011 at the Marton Hotel and Country Club. The format will be similar to previous years and we are subsidising the event to keep the cost at £10.00 per head. Tickets can be obtained by using the form below. Please note we have asked for a list of those attending so we know who is using the tickets.

The Cleveland Police Carol Service is free to all (buffet included) and is to be held at the Stockton Baptist Tabernacle, The Square, Stockton TS18 1TE on Tuesday 13^th December 2011 – start 7.30pm. In addition to traditional Christmas carols, the Cleveland Police Band will be performing. The Teesside Youth Choir will also be there, and there will be solo performances by Cleveland Police’s own Stacey Dobson. No advance tickets needed – just turn up on the night. However, the event is always well attended (last year there were approximately 450) so come early to be guaranteed a seat!

Stockton Annual Christmas Reunion is again being organised by Ian Birch and Dave Walker and is to take place at the West End Bowling Club, Hartburn Lane, Stockton, on Friday 16^th December 2011 from 1215pm.

The Hartlepool Pensioners Christmas Function will be held at the West Park Cricket Club, Hartlepool. It will take place on Saturday 14^th January 2012, commencing at 7.30pm. If you require any further information please contact Mick Beard.

The Reunion Lunch and AGM for 2012 will take place on Sunday 26^th February 2012 at the Sporting Lodge Inn, Low Lane, Middlesbrough, from 12noon. Tickets will be £5.00 per head for a 2 course meal. The event is very informal and it would be great to see a few more of you attending. If you would like to attend, or attend the AGM only please complete and return the form below.

We have tried in the past to seek other ways to get members involved and I am grateful to those of you who have arranged events as seen above. If you have an event, or any ideas for one that we can help and support please let me know. We want to provide things you want – NOT what we think would be OK. The more people who become involved in the branch , the better we will become.

Friendship Club. continues to meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Marton Hotel and Country Club, or other locations where they have arranged an event.
