HELP CLEVELAND SSAFA TO HELP OTHERS

CLEVELAND SSAFA - A local charity supporting serving and ex-service members of the armed forces and their dependants, are in urgent need of volunteers willing to give a little time to a very worthy cause.

The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen’s Families Association - Forces Help offers support to serving and ex-Service personnel and their families in need. Cleveland Branch alone help over 500 people each year. To assist us in giving this essential service, we are in urgent need of volunteers to train as caseworkers, people willing to give a few hours each week to an interesting, worthwhile and very satisfying role.

Caseworkers are the people who actually deal with our clients. Although we are all unpaid, training is provided and expenses paid, so no one is out of pocket. Volunteers, male and female, do not need to have served in the armed forces. Anyone who may be interested, but is unsure of our role or would like more details of the type of work we undertake, is invited to contact us for an informal chat, naturally without any obligation.

We cover the former Cleveland County and operate from TA Centres in Middlesbrough and Stockton. We pride ourselves on being a cheerful and friendly set of people who enjoy a relaxed and informal working atmosphere. We will welcome anyone living in the local area and wishing to give a few hours of time to help us with our important caring task. In addition we are urgently seeking someone with financial experience to undertake the role of Divisional Treasurer at the Middlesbrough office.

For further information and an informal chat please telephone:

WE VALUE YOUR EXPERIENCE..

G4S Policing Solutions is a market-leading specialist recruitment business, with a proven track record since 2002, dedicated to supplying ex/retired officers of all ranks, with specialist skills, to Police Forces across the UK on a temporary basis, to meet the fluctuating demand on resource.

Our proposition has been developed to compliment full time recruitment, which is the foundation of increasing police capacity over the long term. By registering with G4S Policing Solutions, at no cost to yourself, you can expect to be kept informed of relevant, wide-ranging contract opportunities providing you with continuing and well paid career challenges.

Cleveland and North Yorkshire Police were some of the first forces in the North East region to embrace the concept and understand the benefit of utilising ex/retired officers in this manner, which has resulted in increases of performance at divisional level.

Some of the roles carried out by G4S’s ex/retired officers include Enquiry Officers, District Investigators, Control Room Operators/Call Handlers, OIS/CIS Inputters, Police Trainers, Statement Takers, Incident Room Staff, Holmes Indexers, Analysts, SOCO’s, Civilian Detention Officers, Crime Evaluators and many other specialised roles.

AllPoliceJobs

www.allpolicejobs.co.uk- a revolution in police recruitment!

www.allpolicejobs.co.ukin not just another police job site.. It is set to change current thinking on police recruitment for good. For the first time any UK police force can advertise their jobs for free.

Richard Place, Managing Director, says, "The internet has revolutionised our lives and the recruitment sector is no exception.
"The idea behind www.allpolicejobs.co.uk is simple. The site uses the latest specially-developed software to automatically scoop up all police jobs posted on force websites. It requires no effort on the part of the force and by allowing them to advertise for free, the site is set to save the police service thousands, if not millions of pounds in recruitment advertising.

"Private companies and police organisations wishing to advertise to the police service will be asked to pay a one-off fee of £200 to advertise a job for four weeks. The result is the most comprehensive UK police job website available to officers and staff. It really is as simple as that."

"And because www.allpolicejobs.co.uk carries hundreds of jobs in all areas of policing, more any other police publication, it gives potential applicants a much better idea of the opportunities available to them in the service"

www.allpolicejobs.co.uk launched on January 23. Access to the website is free. There is no annoying registration process to go through. Simply log on and search the area you are interested in.

How it works.....
