Hospital Visits - James Cook University Hospital.
I have been reminded that you can save on parking at the above hospital if the patient you are seeing is going to be on a ward for any length of time. Instead of paying the astronomical daily rate you can obtain an application form from the ward sister where the patient is being cared for and get a permit for £8 for one month or £17.50 for three months. The completed form has to be taken to the Transport Office (near the jewellery shop) and a permit is issued. You also have to hand over a £10 deposit returned when the permit is handed in.
Its a bit of a 'chew' BUT it makes a big saving if you are visiting every day for more than a couple of days.
Forum 'Log In'.
There is now a double security system in operation to prevent Hackers and 'spam' etc. I'm afraid its a bit of a pain but to log in properly you need to do the following on your first visit. You will need to make a second visit once part 1below is completed.
Your name and membership number are your user name and password.
Some of you have found difficulty in getting into the forum - To start -
On the top of the page on the blue strip find Forum and click it - this gets you to the first log in screen - then
1. Press the new user button and register yourself as a member . Please include your full name and national membership number and complete the form. This is sent to me for authentication. Once checked I can 'open' the page for you.
2. You will find another registration page. PLEASE - if this is your first visit you will need to register for the forum - it is an additional safeguard to prevent unauthorised access! This form is returned to me for clearance and I have to 'open' the forum proper for you.
3. Once the above is completed you can get through quickly into the forum as the two log on pages remember your details if you 'click' the remember me button.
